Q&A Level 7 Accessing Subconscious Wisdom (Darkness Retreat)
Hey there!
The new generation of our Level 7 Darkness Retreat is coming up fast, and since I’m going to be in the bunker (and I’m both excited and honestly kind of nervous) I thought I’d ask a few questions to Paris (TNT Facilitator, Level 7 Organizer)
I hope you find this as interesting as I did! Let’s dive right in.
Ru: I’m feeling a bit nervous. You’ve done this workshop twice before; What was it like for you?
Β
Paris: I did it in 2013 and again in 2016. From what I remember, the experiences were quite similar in the sense that I went through the same phases. First, I slept a lot. It was quite nice to catch up on my sleep debt actually.
Then I went through quite some “mindfucking”, which was less nice, but that also ultimately relaxed.
That’s when I got into the final phase, this open space where I got super clear visions and ideas for what I was supposed to do next.
(In the picture: a Level 7 assistant’s eye view through his night vision goggles as he comes to feed Paris in the dark.)
And what did you see?
In my first retreat, I saw that I was going to move countries and change jobs, which I did afterwards even though it was a bit scary. It was one of the best decisions I made at the time. It put my life on a different course in a very good way.
The second retreat, I got confirmation that I should double-down on what I was already doing and keep going. That was in 2016, the year right before (TNT Founder) Alexa Vartman went on sabbatical, so it was definitely the right choice for both me and TNT.
These retreats are the reason I’m on the TNT team and facilitating workshops today, and I’m very grateful that I was inspired to take this path.
What is it actually like to be in the dark during Level 7?
It’s actually really cool and honestly kind of relaxing to be without distractions of any kind for a whole week. In my experience, it was even blissful at times.
There’s also strength in knowing that you can go a whole week without distractions. It’s a good test of yourself to see how cope without your addictions, constant stimulation, and “brain candy” like YouTube and TikTok. It also gives you a chance to tap into something wiser and bigger than yourself instead.
But sitting around in the dark for that long sounds scary!
First of all, you’re not alone. You’re with a group even if you aren’t actually interacting with anyone, and the team is always close by. I knew if anything happened they would be there to help me, and I’d be taken out of the bunker immediately.
With that fear out of the way it was actually really awesome, and in the end, I was just confronted with my own thoughts. In many ways, it felt cleansing.
It was interesting to witness my emotions as they came up without any distractions; boredom, sadness, irritation, blissfulness, and just pure relaxation since I could catch up on a lot of sleep, haha.
But ultimately the visions you get when you spend that many days in the dark are really what it’s about and totally worth it.
That’s amazing! The workshop is also coming back with major updates since you last participated; what are the updates?
The biggest adding is a new form of meditation which Alexa has perfected in the ten years since the last retreat.
The purpose of the retreat is still the same; to allow participants to benefit from the guidance of their deeper, intuitive mind, and if possible to find their life purpose.
But Alexa wasn’t satisfied giving participants a short glimpse into that greater intelligence. She wanted to find a way to give them access to that “Subconscious Wisdom” much more frequently. Something they can bring with them out of the bunker when they leave.
That’s what inspired the creation of this new meditation that unlocks this part of the mind.
“Sunconscious Wisdom” sounds impressive, but I’m not really sure what it means; could you elaborate a bit on that?
Yes, Subconscious Wisdom is a poetic analogy.
Your intuitive mind is so much more powerful than the conscious mind alone. As Alexa likes to remind us, comparing your conscious thinking mind to your intuitive, subconscious intelligence is like comparing the laptop sitting on your desk to a quantum supercomputer; there’s just no comparison in capability.
The goal of this workshop is to give participants the tools to start using that “Subconscious Computer” instead of the “laptop” they’re used to, especially because some questions are just too big to be processed by that “laptop”.
So you’re hoping that after this workshop, everyone will come out able to do this new meditation and access that “Quantum Supercomputer”?
Yes, we hope that everyone will come out feeling recharged, but also with a sense of purpose and direction for the coming years; a certain certainty in their “why” and a clear path to follow.
And who would you recommend this workshop to?
To any adult who’s ready to take a break form the outside world, and who’s not intimidated by the idea of challenging themselves to be addiction free for a week.
Ideally, participants should already have done some therapy and soul searching. An interest in meditation is also helpful, but not necessary.
I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who has mental health issues triggered by the setting of the workshop (a dark bunker). I also wouldn’t recommend this to someone who has strong addictions and impulses they can’t control, or if someone is only there to have “mystical experiences”.
During the workshop, we will be focused on meditating on how we can best serve the world, not chasing rainbow unicorn visions.
That makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to answer some of our Level 7 FAQs! Is there anything else you’d like to add before we wrap up?
Constantine and I will be there to guide this first new edition of Level 7, and we’re thrilled that Alexa Vartman will join us live on video to teach the meditation.

Just be aware that you need to pass Level 2 before you will be able to apply, but if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
Great, looking forward to it! “See” you in the dark!
Onwards and upwards,
Ru (soon to be Level 7 participant)
