This is the Tantra most people avoid
Understanding the different types of Tantra
Since you’re visiting our blog, chances are you’re curious about Left-Handed Tantra.
So let’s break it down for you.
Tantra is on a spectrum and there are basically two main types of Tantra: right-handed and left-handed.
Right-Handed Tantra is the “cleaner” route. Think meditation, discipline, breathwork, mantra, a more traditional spiritual practice.
Nothing wrong with it, but it tends to avoid anything too messy or taboo. If it had a dress code, it’d be a flowy white robe.
Left-Handed Tantra, on the other hand?
That’s the little black dress.
It leans into the raw stuff: sex, desire, intense emotion, ego, even fear. It doesn’t pretend that being human isn’t chaotic sometimes.
No surprise… The New Tantra is unapologetically Left-Handed.
That doesn’t mean we indulge in everything, but we don’t shy away from intensity either.
We approach tantric practice through an all-inclusive lens and address what’s actually present, no matter how taboo, inconvenient or unconventional.
You need the capacity to handle intensity.
To sit with discomfort.
To feel fully without numbing, bypassing, or rushing for release.
Bluntly put: Left-Handed Tantra isn’t for everyone.
You learn to bring awareness to parts most people avoid, especially around sexual energy. That kind of awareness changes you. Not overnight, but deep down.
For example, if you’re currently in burnout or feeling emotionally raw, a softer approach might be wiser until your resilience and mental robustness return.
TNT-style Tantra asks a lot of you. And it’s worth it when you’re ready.
